PAINT THE CAR mural EOI – Your Art could be going places – EOI CLOSED!
The STA car is on the road across our region. From Picton to Young, Braidwood to Crookwell, it’s seen at events, performances, festivals and meetings.
While we love how the RAV4 hybrid cuts our petrol consumption the plain white paint job has to go. We want to move around in a work of art 
STA are seeking to license use of a work of art to feature on our new car wrap created by Studio 4 – Signs & Design in Goulburn.
The successful image will be incorporated into the final car wrap design that will also include the STA logo and website address. The successful Artist/s will be paid $1000 for use of the image and be consulted regarding the final design to ensure their approval before we get the car wrapped.
The artist will be paid a further $400 for use of the design on STA 2022 Christmas Cards, and use on the STA website and socials.
We are looking for original, vibrant and eye catching.
The brief is simple. The selected image must;
- Be an original work and submitted by the creator / copyright owner.
- Be licensable for use
- Be supplied as a high resolution image
- Images supplied can be of work in any medium or style.
- Optional: The STA logo uses seven specific colours (one for each of our regions, if you would like to incorporate these colours into your submitted image, please see our STA Colour Palette Chart.
Studio Four will create the car wrap design. Artists may wish to make suggestions via sketches or text regarding how the image might be treated or simply provide the image.
Just about anything goes, but we can’t consider images that contain explicit or offensive content.
We can’t wait to see the creative options put forward by STA Members and have the STA car turned into a work of art that supports local makers and shares our creative hearts wherever we go.

License Fee
$1400 (+ GST if registered) – This is a paid opportunity; the successful submission will attract a licence fee for non-exclusive use of the image to feature in the STA car wrap design for the life of the car and the right for STA to use the image to tell the story of the car wrap. For the use on Christmas Cards, Digital greeting for STA emails signature for DEC 2022 only and or use as a banner season greeting for December on STA home page and socials. We also maintain the right to use images of the resulting car in all its creative glory.
SELECTION
Submissions will be assessed against the following, equally weighted criteria:
- The quality and originality of your work
- The suitability of the work for the STA car
SUBMISSION DATE
21 September 2022 – Applications open:
28 October 2022 – Applications close.
We plan to be driving around in our new ART Car before the end of 2022. The successful Artist/s will be consulted during the design phase
