Stories from the Studio: Rosie Ricketson.
The week at Stories from the Studio we have the pleasure of catching up with Rosie Ricketson. Rosie is a creative producer working across film, theatre, podcast, and community engagement. Based in regional NSW, Rosie was recently awarded Community Event of the Year by her local council for the production and successful launch of THE GOOD PEOPLE OF NERRIGA podcast in collaboration with creator/director Clare Young.
Rosie is passionate about producing original and powerful human stories which touch the heart. She has also collaborated with Clare to document Project O with leading arts Organisation Big hART, designed to empower young women in regional Australia. Rosie loves to nurture the creative process and support talent in a way which is sensitive and always honours the vision. She has particular interest in regional development, community organising and social change, and loves to find authentic and original pathways to share stories with the world. Her short film with writer and director Clare Young, LOVE FOREVER, was screened at the 2022 Venice Biennale as part of the Orizzonti Short Films Competition, but she is equally invested in the conversations that she has at the shops, the efforts of local community groups, and the creativity of others around her. LOVE FOREVER is Rosie’s debut fictional film as a producer.
