Stories from the Studio: James Luck
This week, we had the privilege of visiting the acclaimed painter James Luck at his cozy studio in Penrose, where we had a sneak peek at some of his paintings that will soon be on display at the upcoming Penrose Art Exhibition. James is a renowned painter specializing in Australian birds and wildlife, with a career spanning back to the early 1980s when he embarked on full-time career as an artist at only sixteen years old. His exceptional talent for portraying Australian birds in their natural habitats quickly gained recognition in the art world. Since 1985, James has showcased his artwork in exhibitions both in Australia and internationally.
His deep passion for native flora and fauna is evident in his meticulous and captivating creations. James dedicates extensive time in the bush, observing and studying native wildlife to authentically capture their behaviors and habitats in his art.
