The Arts industry plays a pivotal role in cultural expression, creativity, and entertainment. From screen and gaming to music and dance, this industry tells the story of us and thrives on innovation and individual expression. 

“Shaping Tomorrow” offers an overview of the Arts sector’s unique workforce and identifies some of the challenges the sector faces, and proposed ways forward. It also delves into the challenges and opportunities within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector and outlines our initial focus areas. These focus areas will drive our efforts and stakeholder consultations, to provide a strategic approach to managing industry challenges.

An overview of the workforce and skills challenges across the Arts will be explored further as part of the Arts Scoping Study, which is a key requirement under the Australian Government’s National Cultural Policy – Revive.
