Stories from the Studio: Pam Luke
This week at Stories from the Studio, we meet Pam Luke, a Southern Highlands artist known for her vibrant contemporary Aboriginal art that reflects her Daruk heritage and deep connections within the Indigenous community. Pam’s creative process is intuitive and free-flowing, allowing each piece to develop organically and blending both traditional and contemporary influences.
Beyond painting, Pam teaches basket weaving to all ages, often gathering with her community at local cultural centers. Her work brings to life a shared journey of identity, culture, and connection, celebrating her heritage and the bonds within her community.

Pam’s work will be available for purchase at the 100% Arty Market on Sunday, November 10, from 10am to 4pm at Bowral Art Gallery, perfectly timed with the first weekend of the Southern Highlands Arts Trail. The market is dedicated to showcasing independent, local creatives from across the STA Region, with handmade goods that highlight creativity and originality. Visitors can also enjoy live music from HighlandFM’s Home-Grown Artists of the Month, along with food and coffee available on-site.
