Stories from the Studio: Ang Hart

This week, STA had the pleasure of visiting Ang Hart at her studio in Young. Ang is a multifaceted artist, psychologist, and passionate advocate for social change, with deep ties to the mining towns of Cobar and Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

Ang’s artistic journey is marked by a deep exploration of rhythm, disruption, and the complexities of the human experience. Known for her gestural and action painting techniques, Ang’s vibrant and introspective works offer profound insights into mood, emotion, and the intricate tapestry of life. Each piece she creates weaves together her personal journey, mental health struggles, and experiences as a psychologist, mother, wife, and creative.

Ang has recently completed her STA Artist in Residence at Robert’s Shark Tank Museum and Collectables in Young.
It was wonderful watching Ang be inspired by the space! Ang’s works are currently on display at her exhibition throughout July in the foyer of Young Town Hall.

Find out more about Ang at her website www.anghart.com and on Facebook and follow her on instagram @anghartgallery
