Stories from the Studio: Eddie Mo

This week we caught up with Hilltop’s artist and urban decorator Eddie Mowat inside his latest commissioned work of art, completing murals on two floors of ahotel in Braddon ACT! Ed has been a street artist for 20 years with murals across the ACT, his hometown in Young, throughout Australia and abroad!

“I love doing murals, I love doing public artworks…I found an interest doing street art as a teenager and I have thoroughly enjoyed making the world a more colourful place since then”.

“I think any city with good street art, is a city with good life and it is a sign that a city has a lot of culture and excitement!”

Eddie also creates sculptural works from recycled materials, his sculptures celebrate his passion for street art, recycling and making the world more colourful. Eddie is the STA Box Gallery Winter 2023 exhibiting Hilltop artist in Young! You can see Eddie’s Box Gallery exhibition in the Young Town Hall.

Eddie is available for commissions and projects – why not decorate your urban space?
