Dance & Music for Wellbeing
STA have partnered with our friends at Hume Conservatorium to delver the Dance & Music for Wellbeing program. Part of the new Hume Con Daytime Music Program.
Dance & Music for Wellbeing is therapeutic dance and movement class suitable for seniors and . Created originally for people living with Parkinson Disease and people living with disability. The program promotes positive creative ageing.
Participants learn choreographed dances for physical health, well-being and a love of dance and music in a social setting.
Dance & Music for Wellbeing classes are conducted by Jenny Hargraves, a professional practitioner who has worked creating music in the disability sector leads the class in a supported environment at Hume Conservatorium.
Dance & Music for Wellbeing continues the legacy of the much loved Dance for Wellbeing program run by STA between 2018-2021 with classes in Goulburn with Liz Barling and in Picton with Bonnie Curtis.
Tuesdays 11am – 12pm from 3 May Dance and Music for Wellbeing
at Hume Conservatorium 160 Bourke St Goulburn. Only $50 per ten week term!

About the Facilitator
Over the last 20 years Jenny Hargraves has worked and been involved in Aged Care and Disability Services as a Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator and has worked making music in the disability sector. Jenny is currently a member of several locaI choirs. She has developed and implemented a variety of stimulating and entertaining programs for clients using an innovative and creative approach. This includes motivation both physically, socially and spiritually. The use of balloon’s, ribbons and percussion instruments, dancing and action songs assists with mobility which all leads to enjoyment and therefore increases social interaction. a consistent participant in the live music scene.
