FOCUS – Photographic Professional Development Project

Focus is a region wide photographic professional development project for STA Members who are creative practitioners to receive professional quality images of their work and a portrait.

Our seven local professional Focus photographers are offering photography sessions for creatives to generate images of up to 3 artworks and head shot. The images will be gifted back to each artist to support their creative practise. They will also be used to create online listings at the STA Creative Directory and an online exhibition at the STA Gallery with further plans for a printed publication.

Creatives will have the opportunity to book a FREE one hour photo session at one of the seven full day photoshoots, one offered in each region. Each photoshoot day will have six individual appointments available allocated on a ‘first in best dressed’ basis.

HOW IT WORKS

There are 42 discreet photoshoot sessions of 60mins each available to STA Members. There are six sessions available for each of the seven photoshoot days, scheduled to occur in each of the STA contributing council areas. Please see below the seven local government areas and session times to take up the opportunity via a google doc EOI form.
You must be available for most of the day to ensure that we can create a comprehensive schedule. If necessary, you can nominate a preference for morning or afternoon session time.

  • Detail the works what you will be bringing to photograph, ensure each is easily transportable and able to be set up within the time constraint.
  • Each work has the largest dimension of no more than 2m (negotiable)
  • If you have a performative practice, please let us know so that we can anticipate slightly different needs in your shoot.
