Stories from the Studio: Jenny Bell

This week at Stories from the Studio, we talk to Jenny Bell, a Breadalbane-based visual artist and farmer. Jenny has worked from her farm studio for over 30 years, drawing inspiration from the land. She works in charcoal, oil paint, and three-dimensional materials, often responding directly to the landscape.

Her current project revisits Christian iconography and its connection to land management, reflecting her broader focus on regeneration and farming’s impact on art. For Jenny, persistence fuels creativity, and art remains a lifelong dialogue with history and the environment.

Jenny is hosting a workshop at Connect@Gunning Station. Flood – Summer Workshop with Jenny Bell
