Maisie’s Choir Scarf by Jenny Johnson

Maisie’s choir are proud to wear scarfs featuring Rivers and Waterholes by Jenny Johnson. Jenny is a First Nation artist living in Yass Valley. The design is an intricate pattern of land and river.

About Jenny
Jenny was born in Peak Hill NSW and lives in Yass Valley. She is a descendant of the Wiradjuri People and has a strong cultural link to the traditional Wiradjuri lands through her mother. Jenny is a self-taught artist who has adopted a contemporary and unique style of painting. The inspiration for Jenny’s energetic and colourful artwork comes from the landscapes and flora of the local area around Yass and the ACT. Jenny paints her own unique designs by using a very vibrant and bold colour palette and a range of fine dotting styles to depict her paintings. Find out more about Jenny’s work.

The original painting Rivers and Waterholes is part of the First Nations Exhibition at the STA Gallery online.

Maisie’s Choir Scarf is an STA Commission funded through the Restart Program through the NSW Government.
