This week Judy Barker has invited us into her studio!
“I love working in a range of mediums from acrylic, pen and pastels to mixed media print making. I think capturing light and the feel of a subject is my main aim in 2D works. I also enjoy carving in soapstone, limestone and Hebel and putting together quirky sculptures from found objects. My local Young Society of Artists is very supportive and progressive and provides workshops to inspire and organizes exhibitions to show local artists’ work. I took part in the recent Hilltops Off the Beaten Track Art and Cultural Trail which was really successful and will become an annual event.”
