The Lambing Flat Regional branch of the Fellowship of Australian Writers NSW Inc
For 42 years the Lambing Flat Young Branch of the Fellowship of Australian Writers NSW Inc has been encouraging writers of all ages and all genres through its annual writing competition. Over the years it has developed into a national competition.
The 2024 competition will be launched at the Young Services Club, 16 Cloete Street Young on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 11:00am.
Entries close on Friday, October 11, 2024. Prizewinners will be announced at the National Cherry Festival on Sunday, December 1, 2024.
Entries are open for adult open themed short story and poetry. Multiple entries are allowed. Entry fees apply.
The Schools Section offers students from Junior Primary (1-3) Primary (4,5,6) Secondary (7,8,9 & 10,11,12) free entry for one entry each for both story and poetry sections.
The Fellowship strongly believes in nurturing and encouraging students. It is supported in this endeavour by the SWS Bank, The Young Services Club and teachers from across Australia who coordinate entries from their schools.
