Toy BUSTing with Freya Jobbins

We got inspired by ‘unwanted’ materials like small plastic toys and other discarded objects to create your very own 3D sculptural Toy Bust or 2D self portrait.

The kids learned how to respond artistically while developing skills and techniques in toy deconstruction and reconstruction.

Construction involved use of hot glue guns, the use of which will be detailed in a safety talk by the artist.

Check out our Facebook album for more pics.

Toy busting is part of the Waste to Art project and participants are encouraged to enter their work in the  WASTE TO ART EXHIBITION AND COMPETITION

Freya Jobbins is a Wollondilly artist with a distinctive and sustainable art practice. Her teaching style is enthusiastic and engaged, with a focus on individual attention and providing an entertaining, safe and informative workshop focusing on reuse, recycle and re-purposing.

SPECIAL COVID instruction: Places are limited by a social distancing restriction of 10 participants in the venue. COVID safe practise will be in place to ensure everyone safety, including hand cleaner and wipes. We recommend children bring their own face mask for use as suits on the day.
