PAINT THE TOWN Street Art Festival  – Wollondilly

@stapaintthetown for all the updates
PAINT THE TOWN brought art to the streets of Wollondilly over two weeks in Spring 22 with 12 amazing murals created as part of the festival.

Jimmy Dvate kicked off his mural first just before the big party event in the botanic gardens got the festival going. Joined by Scottie Marsh, Anthony Nee and Ingrida Spole who all brought colour and life to walls across the “Dilly’. Zach from Saltwater Dreaming powered through his mural in a day – Deadly.

The hardest working man in street art and PTT Creative Director Joe Quilter completed five of the PTT murals and help out Anthony on his epic Horse mural in Tahmoor. We got tired just watching him go.

PAINT THE TOWN – NOW GET THE MERCH – check out the awesome merch created by our Artists.

All our PAINT THE TOWN murals are inspired by a co-design workshop held with fire effected Wollondilly community members. Facilitated by Alex from Wildflower Holistic Services, the workshops supported people to share their experiences of the Black Summer Fires and talk about their journeys of loss, pain, hope and resilience.

Use our PTT goggle map to get to all the murals and be awed by what these fab artists have given to us all.

Just when we thought River Road Creative Academy couldn’t get any cooler. This mural by Joe was a great way to thank Patrick for bringing music to the PAINT THE TOWN Festival when the murals were created. River Road Creative is the place to learn an instrument and be surrounded by inspiring musicians. They are one of our favourite project partners working on lots of STA creative shenanigans.

Joe completed this overpainting with long time friend and collaborator Anthony Nee. The two started painting street art in high school & the chance to work together again was impossible to resist.
