The Roving Art Exhibition

Venues & Program    I     Works of Art

Upper Lachlan Shire Council holds in trust for the community a collection of paintings acquired over many years. The Roving Art Exhibition is an exciting, new community initiative to tour this rich collection into various community spaces, so they can be enjoyed by all.

The paintings were traditionally displayed at Council premises and the Crookwell Art Gallery, where they have been enjoyed by local residence and visits. The Roving Art Show will tour a curated selection of paintings to a number of community and memorial halls across Upper Lachlan.

As well as giving communities an opportunity to admire the art, The Roving Art Exhibition will provide a focused space for local artists and creatives to also exhibit their works, hold workshops and creative programs. Making The Roving Art Exhibition a fertile place for living culture as well as a showcase for the touring work.

The Roving Art Exhibition will continue on next year with Taralga, Gunning and Collector. Upper Lachlan Council have expressed thanks to the various Hall Committees,  the Taralga Art Show and the Crookwell Art Gallery for making The Roving Art Exhibition possible.
