At certain times of the school day the speed for passing traffic in School Zones is 40km per hour. All the better to slowly cruise by this set of four murals created by students of Taralga Public School at a facilitated workshop led by Jan Green and Dianna Bisset. The kids captured their environment and locals in these colourful murals which sit on either side of the main street of Taralga near the school crossing on the northern end of town.

The Streets R Shared project is a partnership between Upper Lachlan Council and STA to revitalise public spaces in Upper Lachlan with funding through the Shared Spaces programme, a NSW Government initiative. The project area on the main street of Crookwell includes the mural, refreshed paintwork, improved seating  and planter boxes.
