Do you want to join STA for the Shingleback Arty Market at the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre opening celebration? We have spaces for creative practitioners to join us to sell their own work. The Shingleback Arty Market is a place for local creatives to sell their work and connect to new audiences at the opening of Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre at Library Lane, Picton.

What Can I Sell?
The Shingleback Market is all about creative makers. If you’re an STA Member and make cool stuff to sell the Shingleback Market is for you. Visual Art, music, crafts, handmade items, textiles, adornment. Our focus is providing independent creatives a platform to showcase and sell their work. Think creative, unique, handmade and that’s the Shingleback Market.
What Can’t I Sell?
The Shingleback Market is for local, handmade and creative. That means there are lots of things not suitable for our market such as; Anything mass produced, Food, Health/Cosmetics/Medicines/Alcohol/ Amusements, Electrical goods/Tools, Massage/Therapy, Hazardous and Dangerous Goods, Ammunition, Automobile Parts, Bicycles, Child Restraint Devices, Christmas Tree lights, Firearms, Children’s Furniture, Sporting goods or athletic equipment, Protective equipment, Ride on Toys ie Skateboards, roller skates roller blades, water amusement equipment, Projectile toys, E cigarettes, Solar Panels
Stall Fees
There are two types of stores available Please note all Shingleback Arty Market sites are undercover, and are unpowered. No marquees allowed.
Stall with perforated metal wall (suitable for hanging artworks)
Space is approximately 2.0m X 2.0m
Stall holder will be provided with two tresle tables
Stall holders must provide there own hanging equipment ie. hooks
$20 with insurance or $30 if you want to come under STA insurance
Stall WITHOUT perforated metal wall

All Shingleback Arty Market Creatives must be covered by Public & Products Liability Insurance
You can opt to be covered by our insurance for a $10 premium or supply your own insurance.
Your own public and product liability policy must have a minimum of $10,000,000.00 cover in the name of the person or entity that has been approved to trade at the Shingle Arty Market. A copy of the Insurance Certificate of Currency must be supplied via emailed one week prior to the Shingle Arty Market. It is the responsibility of the stallholder to ensure that the insurance is up to date and remains current for the term that the stallholder undertakes trading activity at the Market.

Online links such as your website, Facebook page, Instagram handle and anything else you think will help us see what kind of work you will be offering is also helpful.
Applications close Monday 28 October
Cancellations need to be made 14 days prior to the Shingleback Arty Market. Cancellations made after this time will not be accepted.
If you miss out on a site (there are limited spaces) you may be waitlisted. We are keen for unique traders who will bring something interesting to our Shingleback Market.
Arty is Inclusive
The Shingleback Arty Market has easy & flat access. If you need support to be one of our Creatives please reach out. We will work with you to make your involvement possible 🙂
How Do I Book my site?
If your application is successful you will be sent the link to book in and pay for your site online.
On the day of the Shingleback Arty Market.
What’s provided
Parking & Moving
Parking will be at a premium on the day. Please be prepared to drop off your items and move your car to free up spaces for gallery and market visitors on the day.
Be prepared to carry your items to your Shingleback Arty Market space. There will be a couple of trolleys available to borrow on the day, but best option is to be as self-sufficient as possible.
Rubbish, Waste & Responsible Packaging
Bad Weather Policy
The Shingleback market is conducted in the open air and will operate in varying weather conditions including wet weather. It is the responsibility of the stallholder to bring their own covers, weights to hold down equipment and other equipment for the purpose of protection against adverse weather conditions.
