Stories from the Studio: Stan Korytnyj

How cool is Stan Korytnyi! We visited the Bowral based painter at his home studio where he is surrounded by recently competed works ahead of his solo exhibition at Bowral Art Gallery.

Never one to be shy about his thoughts and opinions the works explore the concept of internal verses external influence of the individual, culminating in a group of paintings that are sure to challenge and inspire much debate and conversation.

With the rise of political and social polarization in the community which impacts on issues such as suicides and domestic violence, Stan decided to adopt the theme of “Address The Demons” as the title for his painting agenda. The 46 paintings and drawings are Stan’s reaction to aspects of social attitudes in our society.
