Stories from the Studio: The Young Colts

The Young Colts had just knocked off shool when we caught up with them at the Roc Con as the prepare for their next performance at the Grand Opening of Gunning Station.  The Colts are a 5-piece Australian Country Rock Band with lead singer Jordan woods, Austin Johnson on lead guitar, Patrick Matthews on Bass and violin, Joshua Arnold on drums and Callum White on Guitar, Mandolin & Banjo. 

The band formed in 2023 from a collection of Country, Blues and Grunge lovers who met at High School (and pre school) and just couldn’t get enough of the big sounds of Luke Combs Chris Stapleton & Brad Paisley. With smooth vocals, punchy bass, big guitar solos and wicked drums. Its the music you’d listen to LOUD in your
truck.

Now hailed as Goulburn’s Best Young Country band (by us), The Colts have performed over 1 show (nearly…next week) and have performed at the iconic Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville, TN (that was a lie…). Tamworth would be our dream big gig, and we love nothing more than starting a good night right.
