Dream Machines
An exhibition by Rosa Fedele
1 – 6 April
Daily from 10am till 4pm
Opening: Friday 2 April at 6:30pm – opening night fully booked
Whimsical, playful and nostalgic, DREAM MACHINES is a vibrant and joyful collection of new works by Rosa Fedele.
Daughter of Italian migrants to Australia, Rosa was forbidden from pursuing an artistic career. Finally able to follow her vocation in adulthood, she studied at the prestigious Julian Ashton Art School, Sydney.
Unconstrained by conventional expectations her work is genre-defying; slipping seamlessly between traditional portraiture and still life to vintage cars, Italian scooters and romantic beauties from the silver screen.
Sumptuously decadent and wickedly eccentric, Fedele blurs the line between reality and truth and challenges the viewer to suspend their disbelief and enjoy the melodrama.
DREAM MACHINES will take you on a heartwarming and nostalgic ride through the countryside in your favourite classic convertible, Italian silk scarf billowing in the breeze and faithful hound by your side.
Everyone welcome!
